  • The Unofficial JACKALOPE Skate Video 2025

The Unofficial JACKALOPE Skate Video 2025

I finally finished the skate video last night. It’s the first full-length skate video I have ever put together, clocking in at 30 minutes, using my footage from last year’s JACKALOPE festival. Special thanks to Micah Desforges and all the staff and crew that put on this great event here in Virginia Beach.

It wouldn’t been nearly as cool without all the great local music contributed by some amazing bands. Shout out to The Nerve Scheme Old Scars Sam’s the Hero Broken Beaches Chupaskabra undercutters and Black Waves. I think you will all dig it. And I could use more music for the next video as well. I’ll be out doing interviews and getting video this weekend.

And a special thanks to all the skaters who keep progressing skateboarding to new levels. You are all amazing.

  • Tidewater Comicon 2026

My story from this weekend’s Tidewater Comicon in Virginia Beach for 757 stories

It was a great event and I met some wonderful people who told their stories about their day. Special thanks to Josh Blanchard Ghostbusters, Virginia and Rebel Alliance Infantry Detachment for playing along with me for the story.

I hope everyone had a great time this weekend like we did. Great job Mike Federali and team.

I can’t wait until next year.

  • Jackalope 2025 skate video intro

    Jackalope 2025 Skate Video Intro

I just finished putting together the intro for the skate video I’m working on. Thank you so much to The Nerve Scheme for letting me use their great song “Kicking and Screaming” for the video. It’s the perfect tone for the open of highlights from my time out there last summer. And thank you to all the other bands who submitted music. I’ll be using a few more songs for the rest of the video.

I decided to post this today because I think it’s really cool and will also serve as a great promo for my friend Micah Desforges and the folks at JACKALOPE. It returns to Virginia Beach this May 29-31.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did putting it together. And looking forward to finishing the video and this year’s JACKALOPE return.

Skaters featured include Luke Kahler, Collin Graham, Nina Ye, Shuka Kawai, Hudson Walker, Beaver Fleming, Jada Ward, Mazel Paris, Kosumo Fujiki, Hericles Fagundes, and Aoi Fukuda.

  • Jeannie’s Garden: A Loveletter to my Wife

    Jeannie’s Garden

    A loveletter to my wife…

When her garden bloomed out front she told me to get some drone video, so I did on a gusty day and then pulled out the camera as well. Got some good stuff and decided to do this for her.

The song is a favorite of ours. When we first started dating I showed her the movie and she learned the piano part and I played along on guitar. It’s a beautiful song. I’ll probably get dinged on it but I think Glen Hansard and Martketa Irglova would appreciate my loveletter to my wife.

  • Stand Up For Kids Hampton Roads needs Water.

Stand Up for Kids Hampton Roads posted a need for bottled water at their facility that helps “at risk” youth. Shaggy from Z104 heard about this need and talked about it this morning on his radio show with Executive Director Nicole Pixler.

They have been taking donations of bottled water all day at the radio station.

This is a story I wanted to tell. And this is the first of many to come from 757 Stories.

  • Shine by Manuka

    “Shine” by Manuka

During Covid when I was in Michigan there was nothing to do so I would go out to natural settings, walk around, and fly the drone. This was from one of those cold winter afternoons at Asylum Lake in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I learned to fly drones here and this was the last time I went.

My friend Julie Earle messaged that she had just finished and released a new song for her group Manuka. The song was “Shine” and I listened to it that night and it sounded perfect to go with the drone video. I told her I would put together a video.

And then I moved to Virginia.

Last night I finally found this song and the drone footage I haven’t seen in 5 years, as well as all my other cool Michigan drone video.

Well Julie, I’m sorry it took 5 years but here you go. I hope you like it. I think the mood of the song and the cold starkness of the video work well together. Enjoy.
